Basic FAQ[]

How do I install Pixelmon?[]

We have an in depth tutorial on how to install the FruitServers Pixelmon pack here

Where are all the Pokecenters?[]

You can visit all our resources and Pokecenter's at /spawn. We also have direct warps to them, use /warp pokecenter, /warp relearner, /warp library and /warp gyms to visit our Pokecenter's!

What does this item do / what is its purpose?[]

There are a lot of items in Pixelmon that refer to the original game/s of Pokémon, so a lot of the items you find are based on the interpretation of the game. Some of these items are Evolution items, Held items, and some are completely unrelated. How do you find out? Hold/look directly at the mysterious item and by default press [K], this will bring up the Official Pixelmon Wiki and tell you exactly what the purpose of that item is. Otherwise, feel free to ask in chat.

How do I catch Pokémon?[]

To catch Pokémon you need Pokéballs, which can be crafted using Apricorns. For an increased successful capture, you will need to lower the HP of the Pokémon on which you wish to catch. By doing so, you need to engage in battle. Engage in battle by throwing your Pokémon out, which is by default [R], and select FIGHT. Use moves that you know will lower the target's health without completely killing it. Then, access your BAG, then Poké Balls. To see a complete tutorial on how to catch Pokémon, click here.

Where do Legendaries spawn, and how do I know when one has spawned?[]

All Pokemon from Generation 1-8 are included in Pixelmon, This also includes Legendary and Ultra Beast Pokemon. How do you catch them? The same as any regular Pokemon! A Legendary Pokémon has a chance of spawning every 12.5 to 29.16 minutes. This chance of spawning depends on multiple factors, including whether Legendary Pokémon can spawn in the different biomes and spawn locations, whether the spawn positions are close enough to players, the amount of terrain that is compatible for a Legendary Pokémon's spawn location, and a base percentage of the Legendary Pokémon spawn attempt succeeding (30% by default). To learn more about Legendaries and where they spawn, click here for more information!

What is the Ultra Space, how do I get there and what do I do there?[]

Ultra Space is a unique and exclusive dimension to Pixelmon! To get there, you can either find a randomly generated wormhole that will spawn in the sky. To enter the wormhole, you can either fly into the wormhole on a Pokémon or build up to it and jump in. Alternatively, if you possess an Arceus, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, or Palkia you can manually spawn in a wormhole with the external move Spawn Portal. Pixelmon's Ultra Space dimension is built up primarily of islands, so be sure to bring something to fly on for easy transport! This mysterious dimension is full of many surprises and perks, such as custom biomes, nether strongholds including chests, end cities, and much more! Beast Ball loots are scattered across the entire world, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those. The Ultra space dimension also offers DOUBLE Hidden Ability Pokémon and Shiny Pokémon spawn rates! To read more about Ultra Space, click here.

Where can I find Vanilla Minecraft mobs?[]

Pixelmon is a very unique take of Minecraft, and thus many features of Vanilla Minecraft were removed from Pixelmon to compliment Pixelmon's complexity; because of that, Vanilla Minecraft Mobs do not spawn naturally. This includes Minecraft Villagers, Hostile, and Passive mobs. On FruitServers, we do give all our players access to public and free food resources at /warp food. Wild Spawners around the map can spawn hostile mobs though! So, if you see a wild Skeleton spawner, don't break it; save it for the EXP!

How do I go to the wild?[]

To head to the wilderness, do /rtp, this will randomly teleport you to somewhere in our 15kx15k block world! The cooldown is every 10 seconds to reduce server lag.

How do I interact with my Pokémon?[]

The hotkey to throw your Pokémon out is [R] by default; this will throw your Pokémon out and also retrieve them back into their ball. You can apply held items to Pokémon by opening your inventory and dragging an item over to the left-hand side of your inventory where your Pokémon will be listed; Please note that if you have the Minecraft crafting guide enabled, you won't be able to see your Pokémon. Click on the green book to disable/enable this feature. You can also apply held items to Pokémon by throwing them out and right-clicking an item on your Pokémon. External moves are a good way to find rare and unique Pokémon or items through external moves like Forage and Sweet Scent. Some External moves such as Rock Smash are disabled to reduce unwanted griefing.

Advanced FAQ[]

How do I breed Pokémon?[]

We have an in-depth guide on how to breed Pokémon found here , we also have a guide on the new 9.0.7 changes here

How can I train my Pokémon?[]

We have another in-depth guide on how to train your Pokémon found here

Why can't I teach my Pokémon a move?[]

One of the main reasons your Pokémon isn't able to learn a specific move is because it may require a Galarian TM or TR. An overhaul was done to Pixelmon for Gen 8 movesets, with changes to TMs and the addition of TRs. Generation 8 TMs/TRs aren't in drop pools or craftable, instead, players can use 'Blank Galarian' TMs and TRs to create/duplicate moves. By adding this Blank item to a Pokémon as a held item, the first move used (That is a legitimate Gen 8 TM/TR move) will imprint onto the blank. After x amount of move uses, the disk will complete and the player can remove it for use on another Pokémon or trade it away. Blank Galarian TMs and TRs can be bought at /warp shop with Galarian TMs requiring 100 move uses and Galarian TRs requiring 25 move uses to complete. Galarian TMs can be used to teach a Pokémon a move an infinite amount of times, whereas Galarian TRs can only be used once.

What are Evolution stones, and what do they do?[]

Evolution stones are used to evolve certain unique Pokémon, but they can also be used to make evolution stone armor and evolution stone tools. All evolution stones can be crafted using shards, which are found in various locations depending on the type of shard. Every evolution stone tool will have a different effect while it is in hand, then right-click to demonstrate. For example; Right-clicking evolution dusk tools will give you invisibility for 5 minutes. Evolution stones can also be obtained as tier 2 special drops. A list of all Evolution stones follow; Dawn Stone, Dusk Stone, Fire Stone, Leaf Stone, Moon Stone, Shiny Stone, Sun Stone, Thunder Stone, Water Stone, and Ice Stone. To see more information on these stones, where to find them and more, click here.

How do I get Pokéballs?[]

There are many ways for our Members of FruitServers to get their hands on some handy Pokéballs! You can craft many types of Pokéballs with Apricorns. To craft Pokéballs, Apricorns first need to be cooked in a furnace to make a cooked apricorn, then they can be crafted into a Pokéball lid!! by placing 3 of them in a horizontal line in a crafting table. To make the base, do the same with either Iron ingots or aluminum ingots. Once you have both of those simply place a stone button in the middle and there you go! The only Pokéballs that cannot be crafted are Cherish Balls, GS Balls, Master Balls, or Park Balls. Alternatively, our Member kit contains x32 Pokéballs (and other items) that can be redeemed daily! Our donation kits give access to plenty of Pokéballs, Great Balls, and Premier balls (varies depending on rank); but wait! There's still more... You can win all types of Pokéballs in our Fruit Reactions and unscrambles, be the fastest one to receive a prize!
